At the Bloomberg Tech Conference held in San Francisco on June 5th, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said the company is actively studying Stablecoins as a potential payment method.
Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi highlighted the practical benefits of using Stablecoins, particularly for international transactions. “We’re still in the investigation phase,” he said. He said global companies like Uber could benefit from lower cross-border payment costs. He added that while people may have different views on Bitcoin (BTC), it will become a “proven product” and that Stubcoin offers real utility to companies operating in multiple countries. Khosrowshahi’s remarks reflect a growing interest in blockchain-based payment railroads among multinational companies seeking to streamline operations and reduce financial friction. His comments come amid a wider push within the tech sector, particularly to assess the role of digital assets in everyday transactions, including mobility and delivery services.
