After an agreement between AL Maryah Community Bank (MBANK) and Abu Dhabi Judicial Bureau (ADJD), the UAE’s first law firm, Mohammed Sultan Al-Naimi, has accepted legal fees through AE Coin and legal fees through AED Stablecoin, the AE’s first central bank.
Users through AEC wallets can make secure, efficient and compliant payments for legal services.
“As a leading law firm, we are proud to be in line with our national efforts to digitalize services across the sector,” said Mohammed Al Nuaimi, supporters of Mohammed Sultan Al-Naimi and founder of legal consultations. “Accepting AE Coins allows clients to offer seamless, transparent, locally compliant payment options and set new standards for legal practices in the region.”
As AE Coin’s first full digital banking and banking partner in the UAE, Mbank offers a secure infrastructure and regulatory framework that enhances AE coin transactions through blockchain technology.
Mbank CEO Mohammed Wassim Khayata commented that they are working to embed blockchain power financial solutions into their daily services. He said, “This partnership is a powerful example of how banking and legal departments can work together to promote innovation and support trust and compliance.”
Ramez Rafeek, general manager of AED Stablecoin, said this was a groundbreaking use case and sets stages to allow for a wider acceptance of digital payments in the legal industry within the UAE.

Adjd in the UAE was the first government agency to use AED Stablecoin
In a previous Cryptopolitan article, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Bureau (adjd) has partnered with Almaria Bank (MBANK) to introduce the use of digital currency to pay judicial and legal service fees. Adjd was the first government agency in the Middle East to accept AED Stablecoin, AE Coin for payment of court-related transactions.
Prior to this, UAE-based Air Aravia Airline also accepted AED Stablecoin and AE Coin for flight bookings and other payments. The airline is the first in MENA to offer Stablecoin-based payment options.
The United Arab Emirates has become one of Stablecoin’s main destinations, with crypto payments being made directly through VASPs that serve UAE entities such as AE coins, or through a recent Rak Properties partnership with HubPay.
