Hosting provider Old Const has filed a lawsuit against Bitmain, the world’s largest producer of Bitcoin Mining Equipment, alleging that Bitmain has inappropriately terminated the agreement between the companies.
Old Const, who purchased Bitmain’s “Hash Super Computing Server” and agreed to provide hosting services, claims that Bitmain was “a allegedly breached in order to terminate the contract immediately.”
Furthermore, the old constitution claims Bitmain threatened to seek a seizure order called “replevin’s warrant” outside of Texas jurisdiction. By doing this, Bitmain violates a hosting service agreement concluded by the two companies in November 2024, claiming that it is necessary to resolve a legal dispute in Texas.
The Old Const case seeks a temporary restraining order and a court-ordered injunction that would prevent Bitmain from obtaining a seizure order from a court outside of Texas.
Otherwise, Old Const says that Bitmain will remove “essential” mining equipment and bring it home, unless an injunction is granted.

The lawsuit also seeks damages that may incur, including legal costs, and requires that “incompatible” disputes be resolved out of court through arbitration.
Bitmain was founded by billionaire Jihan Wu and is the world’s largest producer of crypto mining equipment. According to Bloomberg, during Trump’s new Bitcoin mining push this year, he had planned to expand his US business and open a facility in either Texas or Florida.
In July 2024, Bitmain sued another hosting partner called JWKJ Technologies. It accused miners of not letting them work for 95% and breaching the contract by redirecting mining power for its own benefit.
When Bitmain tried to retrieve the equipment, JWKJ refused, accusing Bitmain of illegally detaining $15 million worth of mining equipment.
