Within the scope of the cryptocurrency regulation research conducted at Türkiye, there are many obligations on crypto exchanges, including the obligation to register with the CMB.
In this regard, only two weeks remain until the deadline to meet the requirements for the CMB’s secondary regulations, but the sad news comes from established stock exchanges.
Bitfinex, one of the key exchanges like Binance Türkiye in the “List of Active Exchanges” issued by the CMB, has decided to withdraw from Türkiye.
Therefore, one of the most important and biggest exchanges in the world, Bitfinex has officially announced that it has decided to withdraw from Türkiye.
The official statement stated that the Bitfinex Türkiye CryptoAsset Trading Platform had decided to end its activities as of 16/06/2025.
He said the stock exchange withdrawal transactions can take place until July 16, 2025.
“Our valued customers,
We are pleased to announce that the Bitfinex Türkiye CryptoAsset Trading Platform has decided to end its activities as of 16/06/2025.
This process is carried out in accordance with Capital Markets Act No. 6362 and related subregulations and is planned to protect the rights and interests of users.
As of 16/06/2025, new user accounts will not be opened on the platform.
Existing customers can convert crypto assets into cash and carry out cash and/or crypto assets transfer transactions until 16/07/2025.
As of 16/07/2025, Unlithdrawn Crypto Asset Valance will be converted to Turkish Lira at market value and transferred to the bank account where the user has been notified to the platform.
