According to an update posted by the Phantom team, Phantom, Solana’s most popular non-radical multi-chain crypto wallet, experienced short service disruptions on February 12th.
The Phantom team admitted the temporary suspension and called for the community to be patient while the developers worked on fixes. However, the issue was resolved quickly and the team provided an update to ensure that all services were back online.
“All services are backed up. We apologize for the downtime. We understand how important it is to access assets and take steps to prevent future outages,” the Phantom wrote. Masu.

It appears that the team has quickly restored its functionality, but this is the latest downtime for popular wallets. In October 2023, the team behind Web3 wallet reported an “uptime incident” that temporarily disrupts some services. That outage occurred during an air intake in Grass, a Solana (SOL)-based AI project.
At the time, Phantom’s advice to users included using decentralized applications in case they needed to handle an urgent transaction.
In November 2024, Phantom suffered from an update glitche that locked out some iOS users due to repeated resets. This bug prevented affected users from accessing your account.
Earlier this month, Web3 Security Platform Snap Sniffer highlighted the phishing threat targeting Phantom Wallet users. According to the company, the scammer pressed a fake pop-up in his wallet to try and steal the seed phrase. Phantom has since patched the vulnerability.
The Phantom Wallet was originally launched at Solana Support in 2021, but has since expanded to multiple blockchains. The wallet supports SUI and Base, the Ethereum Layer-2 networks. We have also recently introduced multi-currency support, allowing users to view their balances in 16 different currencies.
