Cryptocurrency Exchange Bybit CEO Ben Zhou said in his statement about the hacking incident:
“The Bibit ETH Multi-Signig Cold Wallet moved to a hot wallet about an hour ago. This particular transaction appears to be robbed, but all signers say that the robbery UI shows the correct address and I saw the URL came from safety. However, the signature message was to change the smart contract logic of the ETH cold wallet. As a result, the hackers control the specific ETH cold wallet we signed And I have transferred all my ETH in my cold wallet to this unidentified address. Don’t worry, as all other cold wallets are safe.
All withdrawals are progressing normally. ”
As Bitcoinsistemi.com, it reported that more than $1.46 billion in assets have been transferred to Huck’s external wallet. The majority of assets withdrawn from Bibit in the attack consisted of females and Steth.
