Binance is engaged in training sessions on Moldova’s crypto crime investigation
The collaboration with CEPOL was driven by several notable training sessions held in March and May. The oldest in-person session took place in Chininow in March, bringing together 25 officials from Moldova’s diverse research units. Binance, the only platform representing the Crypto market, reportedly led an in-depth session and crypto crime investigation into open source intelligence (OSINT). This topic took into account the outline of case studies from cryptocurrency fraud trends, key blockchain concepts, crypto-tracking efforts, and Binance research experience.
A notable feature of the training that took place in March focused on a practical approach. Binance’s special investigation team has submitted practical techniques to track blockchain transfers. Connect your digital asset wallet to a variety of crime operations. In addition to this, the training is also characterized by providing detailed instructions on the support that Binance can provide to law enforcement for ongoing investigations, taking into account data cooperation and emergency assistance.
The importance of such training is demonstrated by Moldova’s strategic position in the European digital landscape. Improving the country’s cybercrime combat is crucial for cross-border regional security and collaboration. Participants appreciated the friendly provision of complex topics and emphasized the value of gaining the latest insights into crime in the crypto world. Nevertheless, they further acknowledged challenges regarding the application of knowledge due to the lack of expert staff and cutting-edge tools.
Boost global cybersecurity by leveraging public-private partnerships
According to Binance, Crypto Exchange conducted follow-up training online on May 14th. Under the direction of Jarek Jakubcek, head of Binance’s law enforcement training program, the session provided comprehensive guidance on addressing cases regarding ransomware and tor. Furthermore, Binance’s involvement with EU4Security Moldova highlights its broad commitment to promoting global cybersecurity through public-private collaboration.
