Argentina is resuming President Mairei’s investigation into the Libra scandal. The first committee, created in April, faced bureaucratic and parliamentary hurdles and was unable to operate properly.
However, Milei is currently facing a new corruption scandal with little to do with cryptography. These allowed the new political coalition to force the investigation to resume. This should continue throughout the October election.
Milei’s Libra’s suspicion of involvement
Libra pumps and dumps have been a massive scandal for Argentina, but the quest for answers and justice seems to have recently reached a low point.
President Miley dissolved the task force investigating his involvement in May, and the US-based prosecution was also suspended this month. But the opposition from Argentina is to resume research into the Libra trade in Mairay.
“The Department of Justice is investigating and hopes it will really be confident, not inflict on fear and act quickly in the Libra case. Was there no insider trading at the highest level of power? This doesn’t want to jump on the investigation committee.
The investigation is directly related to the Libra scandal, but it appears that Milei’s unrelated controversy clearly caused it. Specifically, the new case relates to a leaked phone recording from Diego Spagnuolo, a former Milei lawyer and government employee.
In these recordings he claimed that the president and his sister, Karina, were engaged in bribery directly. Spagnuolo himself admitted that the phone was authentic.
This caused an unprecedented scandal in Mairay’s administration, and yesterday led the citizens to literally strip the president of lettuce and other trash. No injuries have been reported.
Argentina’s next election will take place in October. It’s easy to see how this bribery scandal has given memecoin investigation a new breath of life.
Javier Milei has just destroyed the Memecoin market.
A few hours ago, Argentinean President Mairay launched Mimecoin $libra for “growth in their economy.”
Within five hours, its market capitalization of over $4.4 billion was erased.
Is this the biggest rug pull in history?

Prosecutors found compelling evidence linking Milei and his sister to the Libra scandal, but Congressional opposition and bureaucratic obstacles put the process on hold.
In contrast, today, five political parties representing 136 of the 257 lawmakers are ready to resume the contest. Some of Milei’s allies opposed this measure vehemently, but they clearly have no strength to block the investigation.
In other words, the Libra scandal is heavily heavy in the Argentine crypto community, but that’s just one factor in this push against Mylay. The committee gave a deadline of November 10th and produced a report on the conclusions. This will take place after the next election.
Overall, this scandal could cause serious damage to Mairay and his political future.
