In today’s fascism update Donald Trump is ordering the “Secretary of War” to mobilize troops and authorizes something called “Full Force” to occupy a US city. Also, Speaker of the House MAGA Mike is doing all he can to keep the Epstein files from being released.
Why is Kristi Noem requesting troops to invade Portland? You can be sure Governor Tina Kotek isn’t asking for military assistance, nor is the Mayor of Portland, Keith Wilson:
“President Trump has directed ‘all necessary Troops’ to Portland, Oregon. The number of necessary troops is zero, in Portland and any other American city. Our nation has a long memory for acts of oppression, and the president will not find lawlessness or violence here unless he plans to perpetrate it. Imagine if the federal government sent hundreds of engineers, or teachers, or outreach workers to Portland, instead of a short, expensive, and fruitless show of force.”
Meanwhile, MAGA Mike is attempting to close the government and the House before the bipartisan coalition of Congresspeople can release the Epstein files. After yesterday’s “revelation” that Elon Musk is reported as in the files, the list of donors and Republican leaders Johnson is protecting has only grown.
