The FBI is stepping up efforts to track victims of large-scale crypto fraud tied to fake AML coins, urging them to file potential reparations before June 5th.
FBI sets June 5th deadline for victims of AML Bitcoin and Crypto Scam Empire
The U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have reaffirmed demands for victims of Rowland Marcus Andrade’s cryptocurrency scheme by June 5th. In an announcement last week, the FBI’s San Francisco division and the US Lawyer’s office for the Northern District of California highlighted that amateur marketing, sales and sales representatives will sell. Bitcoin tokens, black gold coins, atencoin, and ABTC.
The FBI urged individuals affected by the scheme to quickly complete the short form, saying:
If you are victimized by Mr Andredo, his company or product, or if you have any information related to this investigation, please fill out this short form. Submission date: June 5th, 2025. Responses after this date will not be considered.
In describing the agency’s role, the FBI states: “The FBI is legally required to identify victims of federal crimes to be investigated. Victims may qualify for certain services, compensation, and rights under federal and/or state law.” For more information, you may contact the person submitting your information, and confidentiality will be maintained throughout the process.
Andrade was convicted of wire fraud and money laundering through his organization, the National Aten Coin Foundation, also known as the NAC Foundation LLC, for misrepresenting the nature of his cryptocurrency offering and compliance characteristics. Between 2014 and 2019, he attracted millions from investors using his own technology and false claims about anti-money laundering safeguards. This latest message from federal authorities builds on previous outreach efforts and highlights the importance of gathering information from victims who may be eligible for compensation and legal assistance.
Authorities also continue to identify and support fraudsters through NAC Foundation’s crypto-related activities, urging the public to share information with others who may have been affected.
