A chorus of voices rose this week in support of cryptocurrency pioneer Roger Ver, who was caught up in an extradition battle with the US over tax-related crime allegations. On Sunday, US President Donald Trump’s second wife, Mala Maples, took him to X, urging Trump and his team to abandon his legal pursuit against Ver.
Marla Maples supports Ver, President pressures to dismiss the accusations
Roger Ver has been gaining great support since his arrest in Spain in April 2024, and this week a coalition of international supporters released a video highlighting how his philanthropy has changed countless lives. After its release, the video was widely spread by the well-known champions of freedom, including a student of Trump co-founder Ryan Fournier, who shared the video with 1.2 million followers on X.
This weekend, President Trump’s second wife, Mala Maples, joined the conversation by reposting Fournier’s posts to X’s 61,500 followers on Sunday. In her message, she tagged Attorney General Pam Bondy, White House lawyers Dave Warrington, Elon Musk and President Trump’s @Realdonaldtrump X accounts.
Many well-known individuals have expressed solidarity with Ver, including Ross Ulbricht, the creator of the Silk Road, who received a full pardon from Trump shortly after the president took office. “Roger needs our support,” Ulbriccht added, “No one should spend the rest of his life in prison with taxes.” The Charlie Kirk Show political commentator, author and host Charlie Kirk has also expanded support for Ver.
Veteran political strategist Roger Stone has spread information about Ver’s case and has shown his support. In an interview, conservative American commentator Tucker Carlson delved into Roger Ver’s perspective and told Ver he was “eager” and “help” him to ensure his freedom. Meanwhile, Natural News founder Mike Adams begged Trump to allow Ver while appearing on The Alex Jones Show.
The Ver case has attracted the support of many people who value freedom, and maple involvement is particularly noteworthy. Her decision to speak up underscores the growing perception of his prosecution as an attack on the rights of individuals, the foundations of prosperity and justice. President Trump has the power to fix this injustice. We don’t stand with people who defend them, not bureaucrats who try to destroy men of innovation. Ver’s pardon is not only an act of justice, but also a declaration that America is a country where innovators can freely build, create and thrive.
