President Donald Trump will first attend the US SEC chair at Paul Atkins’ private oath ceremony, according to the president’s schedule of Roll Call Share Journalist Eleanor Terrett. The event is scheduled to take place today at 4pm in the oval office.

Trump nominated Atkins to officially run the country’s top financial regulators The expected office April 21st after receiving confirmation from the Senate earlier this month.
He is currently working with fellow commissioners and agency staff to advance the SEC’s mission to promote capital formation, maintain a fair, orderly, efficient market and protect investors.
Crypto lovers welcome Atkins’ official assumption of office and see him as the leader of Procrypt, contrary to Gary Gensler, the strict former chief of government agencies.
Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grawal congratulated Atkins and thanked the Summit for his leaders since being appointed acting chairman.
“Congratulations to Mr. Atkins and thank you for Chair Weda for his first stewardship since January 20th,” says grewal. “We look forward to a new era of digital assets and more.”
Paradigm’s vice president of government affairs, Alexander Greave, also welcomed the leadership transition. Grieve said it was a much-needed change in SEC leadership.
“Congratulations to Chairman Paul Atkins,” Gleave said. “And we would like to thank Chairman Mark Weda for leading one of the most productive and constructive startes in decades.”
Future busy days for Atkins
Atkins faces a busy agenda as he is sworn as an SEC chair, as digital assets are at the forefront of his priorities. He pledged that establishing clear, reasonable and principled regulations on digital assets will be his main focus.
The SEC is expected to issue decisions soon in well-known cases, including ripple and binance. The parties are currently suppressing the suspension of court approval, an extension in the case of Binance, to promote a potential settlement.
Meanwhile, the Crypto ETF application backlog awaits the final verdict. Industry analysts and crypto advocates believe Atkins’ leadership can accelerate approvals that had stagnated under previous SEC leadership.
Applications for spot ETFs tied to major altcoins like Solana, XRP and Dogecoin are among those expected to gain momentum under the new chair.
