The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s El Dorado Task Force reportedly is investigating Crypto Bank Anchorage Digital, examining company employees about bank practices and policies.
It cites an unknown source who is familiar with the enquiry, according to News Outlet Baron. The nature of the investigation is currently unknown, with both the U.S. Land Agency and Anchorage denied Baron’s request for comment.
Anchorage is the first federal association Crypto Bank in the United States, and last month partnered with Cantor Fitzgerald with Bitcoin (BTC) fundraising business.

In 2022, US Bank Watchdog notified Anchorage for failing to meet various Money Laundering (AML) regulations. Crypto-company He did not accept or deny the claimsaid it would “strengthen” the identified areas, including not monitoring suspicious activity.
Anchorage is a supporter of Donald Trump’s approach to cryptocurrency, attending the President’s Digital Assets Summit last month.
The Eldorado Task Force is a versatile institution that says its mission is to “disrupt and dismantle cross-border money laundering organizations by conducting active, aggressive investigations.” It claims to be one of the nation’s leading AML research organizations.
