The session is entitled Tokenization: Moving Assets Onchain and highlights the merger of traditional finance (TRADFI) and distributed finance (DEFI).
It aims to explore how blockchain-based tokenization is reshaping capital markets and asset management strategies. The event will feature keynote speeches from SEC Chairman Paul Atkins and discussions with key voices from both legacy financial institutions and crypto-born companies.

TRADFI Giants meet blockchain innovators at the SEC tokenization forum
The SEC Crypto roundtable on tokenization was held with comments from key SEC figures, including Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw, Mark Uyeda and Hester Peirce. SEC Chair Paul Atkins then gave a keynote address focusing on a regulatory approach to tokenization. This sets the tone of a broader conversation about how asset tokenization is beginning to transform funds. The main benefits discussed include improved liquidity, transparency and market access.

Future outlook perspective on future and regulation of tokenization
After a short break, the future of tokenization, a session at 4pm, shifts focus to future challenges and regulatory alignment. Wilmerhale’s Tiffany Smith relaxes the panel of innovators from Chia Network, Robinhood, Securitize, Blockchain Capital and Digital Asset.
Their argument touches on institutional adoption, legal frameworks and smart contract governance. Independent researcher Angela Walch emphasizes the need for clearer accountability in blockchain development.
