Early Bitcoin investor and outspoken advocate for financial freedom, Roger Vert recently joined Mario Norfal for an obvious interview about his ongoing legal battle. We sat together.
“This is about my political views, not my taxes,” Roger Ver said.
Roger Ver, who waived his US citizenship in 2014, faces tax evasion claims, accusing him of calling it politically motivating. Now, his final extradition appeal in Spain could force him to the United States at any time. Ver described his ordeal as a targeted attack against those challenging the centralized financial system. “This is not tax,” he said during the interview. “It’s about my political views.”

Influential American conservative commentator and television host Tucker Carlson urged Trump to give him a pardon and openly advocated the Ver.
He based on allegations that the government lawsuit underestimated his Bitcoin (BTC) holdings when paying the controversial “exit tax” necessary for citizens waived their US citizenship. He explained that he is there. However, Ver claims he is hiring top experts to follow the law and ensure compliance.
He said he spoke about his arrest in Spain. “I was in the hotel lobby and when the man approached me I could hardly understand it through his thick Spanish accent. Only after a few attempts he identified me for an arrest. I realized there was,” Ver recalled. He was taken into custody and spent several weeks in a Spanish prison before securing bail.

American conservative activists, commentators, authors and founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) have Trump forgiven Ver.
Beyond tax claims, Ver’s case raised serious concerns about government overreach. He revealed that US authorities had attacked his lawyer’s office without a warrant. He and his legal experts argue that it is a blatant violation of the privileges of lawyers and clients. “They just showed up a gun at their waist and started questioning them (his lawyer) about my tax return,” he said. Despite clear legal protections, the fact that such actions were carried out against him highlights what Ver calls “perversion of law” used to target opponents. It’s there.
Throughout the interview, Nawfal expressed shock at the severity of the charges, noting that it could lead them to spend the rest of his life in prison. Many people, including Nawfal and many notable figures in the cryptocurrency and libertarian freedom movement space, are calling for President Donald Trump to intervene. As Ver awaits the next move by US law enforcement, he remains rebellious and says he will continue to fight for justice. This is greater than most people think, he concluded:
Is this about truth and justice, and is it going to allow the government to jail innocent people and chase their political enemies?
