Susbarium warned the Shiba Inu community to stay vigilant as scammers are there. The X account focused on Shiba INU has warned the SHIB community of increasingly spoofed accounts pretending to be representatives of the official SHIBA INU.
The Shiba Inu community is growing and now has 1,509,812 owners per Etherscan data. Therefore, fraudsters use fake profiles, phishing links and fake rewards to trick unsuspecting users into leveraging the topic.
The message included key community safety tips. First, Shiba Inu holders should check before trusting. This means you should always double-check information on the official SHIB channel. Second, they should avoid suspicious links and do not click on random links, even if they look legal. Third, Shiba Inu holders should protect their wallets and never disclose any private keys or seed phrases. Finally, they should report suspicious activity and warn others.
Other warnings issued
In a recent tweet, Susbarium warned the Shiba Inu community to be careful of fake airdrop scams.
This is because scammers are circulating emails and messages claiming they will offer free token airdrops. These fraudulent offers often require users to risk their funds by verifying their accounts and providing wallet details.
Shiba Inu owners are urged to remain vigilant as fraud targets the Shiba Inu community through a fake billing portal for bad token rewards. Fraudulent sites are trying to trick users into pretending to be false and connecting their wallets.
This scam mimics the design of the official website and presents a fake billing portal that requires you to connect your wallet to confirm your reward. They also send misleading messages to confirm eligibility with people before they request tokens.
