Susbarium warns that scammers are impersonating technical heads, mods, and administrators of Shiba Inu Discord and Telegram channels to send fake “wallet bug” alerts to trick users into connecting to malicious sites.
As the Shiba Inu community approaches the end of the year, Susbarium has shared a screenshot of a fraudulent “Wallet Bug” message in a tweet as the Shiba Inu community is urged to be extremely careful.
The end goal of this is to drain funds from connected wallets, causing not only loss of wallet assets, but also misinformation.
Three-point warning issued
Recently, Susbarium called out the Shiba Inu community’s attention to fake X administrator and mod accounts. Susbarium said it has observed an increase in fake accounts claiming to be SHIB administrators or mods. These scammers often use official-looking bios and profile photos or tag real SHIB projects to appear legitimate.
In view of this, Susbarium issues a three-point warning to the SHIB community, warning them to never join, click, or connect.
The warning “Do not engage” has to do with relying only on official sources and ignoring or ignoring misinformation from scammers. Shiba Inu owners are being warned to ignore unsolicited DMs offering to help with anything wallet-related.
A “Do Not Click” warning warns Shiba Inu owners not to click on suspicious links, while a “Do Not Connect” warning reminds them not to connect their wallet to unknown sites.
Susbarium shares links to Shibarium Tech’s official servers and direct helpdesk, as well as contacting Shiba Inu’s official team, warning that all links claiming to be support are fraudulent. Additionally, links to other locations are fraudulent.
When joining the official Shiba Inu channel, Shiba Inu owners should exercise patience and carefully check the profile.
