Shiba Inu The team issued a new security alert after realising new attempts by fraudsters on target holders. The warning was shared by Lucy, a person from a known community. He said the fake accounts are trying to fool people by promising early access to Leash V2 or secret offers.

Lucy I posted a clear message Identify the community to avoid links and messages that claim to provide special access to the Leash V2.
She explained that there are no hidden opportunities, private airdrops associated with the planned leash V2 upgrade. According to her, the transition will only take place through the official website Shib.io.
The team discovered that the scammer set up a fake channel and pretended to be a famous token connected to Shiba Inu.

These fake operators often push the owner to connect the wallet or send tokens. This leads to stolen funds. Lucy has repeatedly said no one on the Shiba INU team would request direct transfers or private wallet details.
This warning comes as the crypto market is seeing an increase in fraud.
Previously, the team noted that August has already seen some new cases Impersonation scheme. With Shiba Inu having one of the largest groups of retail investors, Lucy stressed the importance of being careful and checking only official sources before taking action.
Leash V2 upgrade plan continues
The SHIB developers have confirmed they are working on Leash V2. This happens after finding out the old code left behind by the first developer that caused the supply problem. The new version has a fixed power supply and cannot create a new token.
The team said the transition is fair and will be handled through a burn-out process. We have contacted external auditors to confirm the contract and consultations with the exchange are already underway. Public tests and bug bounties have also begun, and will be released before official public tests are released.
Despite the recent price struggle, Shiba Inu’s trading has been busy. Meanwhile, on Sunday, 3 trillion shibu tokens changed handsindicating that there is still a strong interest in tokens.
