SEC’s Crypto Task Force will hold a public roundtable on financial surveillance and privacy at its Washington headquarters from 1pm to 4pm on October 17th
The event brings together panelists working on technology to protect individual privacy and explore policy issues related to financial market surveillance.
Commissioner Hester Perth said the roundtable aims to emphasize that privacy-enhancing tools allow people to choose when and with whom they can share sensitive information.
“Understanding the recent developments of privacy protection tools will support the SEC and other financial regulators in working on policy solutions in the crypto sector,” she said.
The Round Table is part of the SEC’s Crypto Clarity initiative and follows the President’s Executive Order and Working Group Report on Digital Assets.
