SBI VC Trade is a popular Japanese cryptocurrency exchange that functions as a subsidiary of financial giant SBI Group, and has announced the launch of applications for cryptocurrency lending services.
Users can deposit a wide range of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ripple Affiliate, and Meme Coin Island inu (SHIB). Overall, a total of 37 cryptocurrencies are supported.
By doing this, users can be interested in holding cryptocurrency instead of leaving them idle.
The specific interest rates offered by SBI VC trade vary depending on the particular cryptocurrency. For example, it offers a 20% rate for Polkadot (DOT). A particular rate also depends on the lending period and market conditions.
SBI Holdings entered the lending market in November 2020.
XRP was added in 2021, gradually expanding the list of available cryptocurrencies.
