- Zachxbt may be the mastermind behind the Lazarus Group
- His return to telegram coincided with Crypto’s biggest hack ever
- Zacks are currently connected to any major-on-chain hack in history
The world of Crypto was amazed by the revelation that respected Cybersleuth Zachxbt. Zachxbt could be the mastermind behind Lazarus Group, the group that hacked Bybit for $1.5 billion in February. The industry is in turmoil after learning that Crypto’s most beloved white hat may have been working for North Korea all along.
Pseudonymous blockchain investigator ZachxBT has been widely recognized for his efforts to expose fraud and hacking. Zach uses his on-chain analytics expertise to track wallet movements, track illegal transactions, and discover bad actors. He is a need for Hero Web3, breaking down complex frauds like Ragpur and P&D supported by real-world evidence such as blockchain data and court documents and social media activities.
On February 21st, ZachxBT said that from a close to three weeks off from social media, “People don’t respect my time and lack basic financial literacy and common sense, so I turned off DMS for the next few weeks.
Six hours later, he said: “We are currently monitoring the suspicious leaks from the $146 million+ Bibit, so we will update when information becomes available.” Initially, industry figures praised ZachxBT for first identifying exploitation and warning exchanges to take action to mitigate the flow of stolen funds. But it didn’t take long for the commenters to close out with the biggest hack in code history and discover Zack’s week-long break from social media.
Who is watching the On-Chain Watcher?
As rumors began to spread that Zachxbt could become the Lazarus Group Mastermind, Onchain Analytics company issued damping-like documents tied to any major on-chain hacks in history, including the $600 million Ronin Bridge Exploit.
“I’ve repeated Zack’s research and handed it as my own,” analytics firm Chaincis said when he pushed for why he didn’t discover the industry’s supposed relationship with Sherlock and his Moriarty enemy. Only when asked to investigate Zachxbt’s own on-chain activity was Chaincis discovered that he could have been a crime genius pulling the strings of the Lazarus Group all the way through.
“In fact, there’s evidence that his crime goes even further than defi,” tweeted one X user as Zachxbt’s stake was strengthened.
“How much more?” I answered the egg account, but the op replied that it was enigmatic: “Have you heard of Jack the Ripper?”
“I said Zack was a good guy, so I thought Zack was a good guy,” retorted Chainsis CEO David Fisher. “There’s an old Bitcoin that says, ‘Don’t trust, check’, but I trusted Zack when I had to verify it. And you can see that B in Zachxbt stands for Best Korea. ”
