The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reportedly had been hacked, and data, including private communications and personal information, was stolen by the Russian-based crypto ransomware gang Qilin.
That’s what cybersecurity analyst Dominique Albieri says today that the department has been hacked.
Alveri shared a statement from Qilin. This claims it owns data stolen from the Ministry, and some of it is for sale. The data states “Personal communications, personal information, announcements, etc.. ”
The ministry has not yet checked the hacks.

According to a 2024 report from the Health Sector Cybersecurity Coordination Center, Qilin Operates operations as ransomware assurance that forced cryptocurrencyIncludes Bitcoin and Monero.
The group was launched in July 2022 under the name “Agenda” before rebranding it to Qilin a few months later. It is speaking in Russian and is also thought to be behind the hacking in London hospitals that caused great confusion.
Qilin claimed ownership of the violation a day after the US shared with Kyiv after the collapse of relations between the Trump administration and Ukrainian President Voldodymyr Zelenskyy.
Reuters reports that the US has announced plans to revoke temporary legal status of 240,000 Ukrainian refugees. However, it points out that the plan was drafted prior to a controversial interview between Trump and Zelensky.
