More than 300 slaves have reportedly been freed from Myanmar’s crypto fraud centres after the Thai government cut off electricity, internet and fuel along the Myanmar-Thai border.
Dimsum Daily reports that 100 people have been released from the fraud centre in Tachilek city and moved to Thailand’s Meisai district.
Meanwhile, Thailand reports that 261 casualties will be released from KK Park and Shwe Kokko fraud centres today and sent to PHOP PHRA district in Tak province. Various attacks are taking place while authorities gather at the border and relocate the victims.
However, Thai deputy prime minister and defense minister Phumtham Wechayachai reportedly Refugee camps will not be set up for people coming from fraud centres.

Thai government reportedly will ease sanctions if Myanmar can show that there are no fraud centres. While the released victim is sent to the Border Patrol police camp, the embassy attempts to return the victim to his home country.

The Karen Army, a militia formerly known as the Karen Border Force, has helped protect these fraud centers in the past. However, militia leaders are reportedly kicking Chinese gangs that run them now.
Thailand has also threatened to implement further restrictions and said it will shut down exports of solar panels, oil and cooking gas if current anti-scum measures are not effective enough.
