Next, we released version 5.6.0 of the Neoline Extension wallet and introduced support for OneKey hardware wallet. This update allows users to interact with both Neo N3 and Neo X networks via OneKey’s secure open source hardware.
The OneKey wallet lineup highlights transparency and verifiability, distinguishing it from open source firmware and software. The OneKey team criticizes closed-source alternatives as “black boxes,” encouraging users to “trust in code and mathematics” over opaque implementations. The hardware wallet integration allows transactions to be signed through Neo and via Neo, adding Firefox compatibility along with version 5.5.5 of Chrome.
Beyond NEO integration, OneKey devices also support FIDO and FIDO2 authentication protocols. This makes it convenient not only as a digital asset management, but also as a secure login key for platforms such as Google, GitHub, Dropbox, Binance, Coinbase and more.
The OneKey hardware range includes several models to suit the needs of different users. The entry-level OneKey Classic 1S Pure is a lightweight, battery-free device focused on minimalism and portability. At the high end, OneKey Pro offers premium features such as 3.5-inch IPS color display, multi-touch input, signing air gap transactions via camera, and biometric removal via fingerprint sensors.
