The man is currently in custody after climbing over the iconic Hollywood sign as part of a promotional stunt.
The person was waving a flag to light a cryptocurrency called the Vigilante Token (Vigi).
Located at an altitude of 181 metres on the south side of Mount Lee, the sign is one of California’s most iconic tourist attractions. It is protected by a barrier and has a sophisticated security system that notifies police of suspicious activity.
The man wearing dark clothes and a ski mask was reported to LAPD early today.
The token temporarily rose to a market capitalization of $5.5 million, with prices rising 63,140% due to wild promotional stunts that were able to attract some coverage in local LA media.
Token prices are currently plunging more than 40% from their current peak.
The Vigilante project teased the marketing gimmick on Saturday, claiming that the Vigi token will be released in the most viral way possible.
The stunt was to showcase the level of “commitment” to the case.
Currently, the project says the next marketing stunt will be 10 times bigger in recent social media posts.
This shows that some projects stand out and stand out as new tokens are flooded into the market.
Vigilante is currently bullying the possibility of locking the supply of tokens with the new X-pole.
