The Libertarian has mobilized support for cryptocurrency entrepreneur Roger Ver, and has frawn him as a government victim similar to Ross Ulbricht to highlight his case before the upcoming midterm elections.
The Libertarian Party defends the release of political prisoners, Roger Ver.
As Cassandra MacDonald reported in a Gateway critic, the Libertarian Party is turning Roger Ver’s legal battle into the latest rally cry. McDonald detailed the party’s official X account @lpnational. “I am dedicated to fighting for justice and personal freedom, including defending the release of political prisoner Roger Ver.,” he said.
Ver faces a 109-year prison sentence after being arrested in Spain in April 2024 for US accusations that included mail fraud and tax evasion, which were asked to be extradition by the Biden administration. He vehemently denied all charges and many view the charges against Ver as unfair. He is supported by a wide range of voices, including Ross Ulbricht, Vitak Butalin, Charlie Kirk, Tucker Carlson, Mario Norfal and Mike Adams.
The libertarians vehemently reject the charges as politically motivated persecution, claiming that ver is intended to promote cryptocurrency and challenging state authority. MacDonald reported that the Libertarian Party accounts declared that the case was intended to silence the objections and that “the law must be suspended.” The Gateway Pundit Reporter further points out that prominent libertarians have spoken online, with people like 2020 libertarian vp candidate Spike Cohen reflecting this view.
Libertarians hope to guide the energy they see by supporting Ulbricht, who helped support Trump in 2024. McDonald’s editors point out that the move is designed to highlight the VER’s predicament ahead of future elections.
The libertarian message rings loudly: a free mind, a free market, and a defense of a neglected life. In this battle, the bystander itself is an option. It represents all freedom. Or, waive your freedom completely.
