Ledger today confirmed that a letter claiming it was from the security team at Crypto Wallet was a scam, warning users to ignore it and to keep the Crypto Wallet Recovery phrase to themselves.
The company was responding to crypto trader Jacob Canfield who shared a scam letter on X yesterday. Canfield claims that scammers are “sending physical characters to @Ledger address database leaks requesting a “upgrade” due to security risks.”
