Kraken expanded its offering in US securities through collaboration with Alpaca, a self-liberation broker dealer known for its API-First Brokerage platform.
Crypto Kraken reportedly has access to over 11,000 shares and ETFs for its users. According to the exchange, the collaboration will allow Kraken’s US resident clients to access a wide selection of over 11,000 stocks and ETFs. This is a move aimed at filling the gap between traditional asset trading and digital asset trading.
Kraken expands its investment offering
“We are excited to work with the alpacas to bring stocks to our clients,” commented Nick Lamaina, managing director at Kraken. “This collaboration accelerates Kraken’s vision to combine traditional and digital asset classes into one platform, improving the user experience for both new and sophisticated traders while maintaining the highest standards of trust and security.”
The industry-leading crypto platform @KrakenFX offers US stocks to its US-based clients, driving its ambition to become a multi-asset class platform for digital and traditional financial products.

The ALPACA Partnership provides Kraken with a robust infrastructure to run low-latency transactions and process fractional orders. This allows Kraken to offer users fee-free stock trading without compromising speed or efficiency.
A must-have for multi-asset platforms
Earlier this year, Kraken acquired Ninjatrader, a futures trading platform. In the near future, Kraken will consider adding traditional asset classes such as options and make them globally available.
