The Cryptocartels associated with Khamenei have been accused of plunging Iran into the darkness as they are trying to make rare profits of their energy. Iran is facing a serious blackout, and hospitals and factories are unable to operate for several months.
Apart from this, there were also extreme temperatures at Aorelief. The Iranian regime has often ruled out responsibility, but a significant amount of it is placed in a Khamene-led regime.
Reports say that most of the domestic issues are the direct result of entities-led activities related to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Under Khamenei, the residents have denounced strong cartels for looting the state’s electricity resources, and most of these activities are also linked to the Islamic Security Forces (IRGC).
Cartels associated with Khamenei have been accused of misusing scarce resources
Several reports from the country show that while the group prioritizes profitable crypto mining operations and seeks important foreign currency, the Iranian masses are left to suffer from the effects of the collapsed power grid. The current turning point was the re-challenges of sanctions imposed on the country by the US, particularly after withdrawing from nuclear deals with Iran in 2019.
After these events, reports of crypto mining farms established in Iran have risen high. Coincidentally, in the summer of 2019, when these reports intensified, serious blackouts began to turn into things, resulting in the entire country suffering. According to some sources, the timing was not a coincidence.
Under Khamenei’s directive, the IRGC has entered into cooperation with Chinese partners, where it has established a mining business to generate Bitcoin and other digital assets as a means to compensate for the country’s reduced access to the US dollar.
These farms, which relied on large amounts of energy, suddenly became the main source of power losses. Reports say the IRGC, which serves as a pillar of crypto mining organizations, uses its power over economic and security outfits to direct these businesses. The report said the IRGC is working with entities like Astan Quds Razavi, a charitable trust under the supervision of the Supreme Leader. These organizations are said to have formed cartels and diverted state resources for personal gain.
The Iranian regime is denounceing the public for power losses
Iran officially recognized crypto mining as legal in 2019, and its license is managed by the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade. Estimates show that around 180,000 mining equipment is used domestically, with 80,000 belonging to private companies. This leaves approximately 100,000 people in management of state or state-affiliated businesses. Reports say this development allows cartels to operate under a legitimate umbrella and allow large proportions of the country’s energy to be diverted.
However, despite evidence that state-controlled entities were ejecting national grids, the administration often denounced the public for power losses. They condemn the increase in consumption at home. This is a story that is not supported under scrutiny. While Iranians face darkness and power losses, the IRGC is working with the cartel to use limited, unchecked energy resources.
The report also argues that whenever enforcement action occurs, it often targets small, fraudulent private miners across the country. According to these reports, the main reason behind these developments is the computational strategies for Khamenei and IRGC to enrich themselves.
