It is allegedly been experiencing a big hack in June 2024 by Turkish exchange Btcturk, who had previously experienced a big hack.
More than $50 million in cryptocurrency has been withdrawn from three separate wallets, according to Certik, a leading blockchain security company.
Evaluating the wallet as potentially hacked, Certik said in a statement that its system detected multiple warnings regarding ETH, Avax, ARB, Base, OP, Mantle and Matic networks.
According to Certik, the majority of the withdrawn funds were moved to two addresses, and the attacker completed the transfer and began exchanging assets.
Btcturk has issued an official statement about the issue so far, saying that due to technical issues with hot wallets, crypto deposits and withdrawals have been temporarily disabled.
Dear User, due to technical issues with hot wallets, electronic cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals have been temporarily disabled.
Additional information is provided when the transaction resumes. Buying and selling transactions, as well as deposits and withdrawals from LIRAs in Türkiye, will continue uninterrupted.
The exchange had previously been hacked. The exchange explained in a statement that funds stolen by hackers only include assets held in hot wallets, and a total of 10 cryptocurrencies were affected by the hack.
In this previous incident, users had not lost their funds.
