The announcement of the partnership comes from two industry giants, Coinbase and Jpmorgan.
According to the official announcement, Coinbase has partnered with JP Morgan to enable credit card purchases on the platform, allowing Chase customers to earn points and redeem for USDC.
Coinbase said the partnership will allow bank customers to purchase from Coinbase using Chase Credit Cards starting this fall.
Coinbase also said that customers will be able to redeem USDC’s Chase Attimate Rewards points in 2026, saying, “For the first time, points from major credit card rewards programs are cryptocurrency rewards and redemptions. Chase customers will be able to convert Chase Ultimate Rewards Points to Coinbase’s USDC.”
Coinbase also added that customers can link their Chase accounts directly to Coinbase from 2026. This allows Chase customers to seamlessly link their bank accounts to Coinbase as a quick and easy way to purchase cryptocurrency, in addition to all their existing integrations.
“We are pleased to announce our partnership with JPMorgan Chase, the largest US bank, to accelerate the adoption of cryptocurrency.
We partner with Chase to offer over 80 million customers three new ways to join Crypto at Coinbase. ”
