The next version of Apple’s top-of-the-line tablet, the M5 iPad Pro, has been rumored to make its debut this fall–and since it’s now the fall season (at least in the northern hemisphere), it could arrive any day now. That day is fast approaching, based on what Russian YouTuber Wylsacom has discovered.
Wylsacom’s latest video features an unboxing and hands-on with what appears to be an M5 iPad Pro. The box is labeled as an “iPad Pro 13-inch (M5),” and after he sets up the device, he looks at its specifications in Settings to show that it’s an M5 iPad Pro. He then runs benchmarks to gauge the M5’s performance. Watch the video below.
If you still have doubts this is legit, then maybe Apple reporter extraordinaire Mark Gurman of Bloomberg can convince you. While he doesn’t outright say it’s real or not, he sure does seem to think it is, based on his posts on X.
Wylsacom is the same person who was able to get an M4 MacBook Pro before its official release last year. That turned out to be legit, so it seems like whoever is Wylsacom’s source has come through again with the M5 iPad Pro.
Apple is expected to release the M5 iPad Pro in the next few weeks. It’s expected to be a chip-and-ship upgrade, with the only major update being the new M5 chip. It could also feature Apple’s N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and the cellular option could use the C1X cellular modem–the N1 and C1X made their debut in the iPhone Air.
