You cannot extract seed phrases from the Wallet.DAT file created by Bitcoin Core software.
This is because Bitcoin Core does not generate numeric seeds using seed phrases/recovery phrases.
More generally, wallets that use seed phrases do not store them in data files. Certainly not a way for anyone to extract them without knowing the wallet password.
The current version of Bitcoin Core in early 2025 can continue to read wallets created by older versions, including those in legacy format.
I’ve read other tools that allow you to read the wallet.dat file that contains one or more named Pywallet.
