Google has announced that it has updated its UAE cryptocurrency and related product policies to clarify the scope and requirements of advertising for complex speculative financial products.
From February 26, 2025, advertisers offering cryptocurrency exchanges and software wallets targeting the United Arab Emirates, as per Google’s policy update, should meet certain regulatory requirements and be certified by Google. , you can advertise those products and services.

Some of Google’s requirements include cryptocurrency exchanges and crypto wallet wallets targeting UAE users, including Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), ADGM Regulatory Authority in Abu Dhabi, Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority in Dubai (VARA), Must be licensed either by Dubai Finance. International Financial Center DIFC’s Service Office (DFSA).
The policy update stated that cryptographic entities running the ads must also comply with other local legal requirements.
In the announcement, Google said: “As a reminder, we expect all advertisers to comply with local laws in all areas where their ads are targeted. This policy applies globally to all accounts promoting these financial products. ”
If the advertiser violates the policy, your account will be suspended. A warning will be issued at least 7 days before your account is suspended.
Google’s revenue from ads rose to $72.46 billion in the fourth quarter of 2024, according to a pro-Alphabet revenue statement issued this month. The results missed the expectations of analysts.
Like local crypto exchanges such as Bitoasis, M2, and Coinmena, Binance, Okx, Crypto.com and others can target UAE customers with Google ads. Additionally, cipher custodians like Komainu and Liminal can also be promoted.
The UAE is a crypto hub in the Middle East, with over 30% of the population holding cryptographic codes. This is also boosted by a recent announcement that UAE Sovereign Wealth Fund Mubadara has invested $436 million in BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF products.
