To be able to reach yourself on a TOR network, you need something called a “hidden service,” which corresponds to the IP address on the TOR network. TOR is quite unusual in that it does not require such an address to make an outbound connection. It is necessary simply to receive an inbound connection.

• give bitcoind Permission to ask tor Creates a hidden service (by opening the control port).
