Cryptocurrency exchanges Coinbase and Robinhood are among about 30 private partners committing talent and resources to the program, marking a maturing relationship between industry and government as companies move from being regulated to recognized sources of technical expertise.
The two-year program will deploy software engineers, AI experts, cybersecurity experts and data analysts to work on challenges ranging from the Treasury Department’s financial infrastructure to the Department of Defense’s programs.
According to the program’s official website, participants will work in teams reporting directly to agency leaders while receiving technical training from industry partners.
“Programs like U.S. Tech Force signal a recognition that modern governance requires talent who are proficient in both cutting-edge technologies and complex digital systems, including those pioneered in cryptocurrencies,” said Mohish Aghadi, co-founder of Provenance AI, an AI-powered platform for fact-checking and verifiability developed by Fact Protocol. decryption.

The initial roster of partners includes Adobe, Amazon Web Services, AMD, Anduril, Apple, Box, C3.ai, Coinbase, Databricks, Dell Technologies, Docusign, Google Public Sector, IBM, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, OpenAI, Oracle, Palantir, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, Snowflake, Robinhood, Uber, Workday, xAI, and Zoom.
Participants will be placed in a variety of federal agencies, including the Small Business Administration, Internal Revenue Service, and Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, as well as the Departments of Defense, Treasury, State, Labor, Commerce, Energy, Health and Human Services, Interior, Housing and Urban Development, Transportation, Homeland Security, and Veterans Affairs.
Aghadi pointed out that cooperation among crypto companies does not have to mean compromise for the industry.
“Decentralization is always about reducing single points of failure and increasing transparency, not rejecting public institutions completely,” he said.
“If done correctly, this exchange could actually strengthen public systems by bringing decentralization-inspired principles like verifiability, accountability, and open architecture to government AI deployments.”
Salaries for Tech Force roles range from approximately $150,000 to $200,000 annually and include federal benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and performance-based bonuses.
After the two-year term, participants can move into a private sector partner role to continue their federal service or use their experience to advance their careers.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with most positions based in Washington, DC, and some positions available at other agency locations across the country.
Driving broader AI
The launch of Tech Force follows a number of executive orders by President Trump focused on AI.
Last month, the government announced the Genesis Mission, the largest federal research effort since the Manhattan Project, directing agencies to connect federal data sets and national lab supercomputers to new AI systems.
President Trump last week signed an executive order directing the Justice Department to challenge state artificial intelligence laws and mount a showdown with states that have advanced their own rules.
The order directed agencies to review state regulations and consider funding limitations related to compliance.
