Spanish police arrested three British men in the Costa del Sol for luring a British cryptocurrency broker and demanding 30,000 euros (about $31,000) for his release. The victim, a 34-year-old Hindi speaker, escaped by deceiving the Captor, thought he was calling a customer of a crypto wallet code, and instead warned a friend in London. His friend informed the victim’s mother, who contacted the authorities, that she had caused a rapid surgery. Police had already found an apartment in Estepona. There, the victim was held in custody when he leapt from a 30-foot balcony and broke his ankle and escaped. Officers intercepted the suspect and tried to escape on Audi, grabbing over 10,000 euros, two firearms, three knives, 25 grams of pink cocaine and other valuables. An arrested man with a previous British criminal history was in custody. Authorities believe the temptation targeted the victim after learning about the crypto transaction during a random meeting in Marbella.
