BlockchainUnmasked, a blockchain intelligence and research firm, has joined the Illegal Virtual Asset Notification public-private partnership known as IVAN. The initiative is led by the U.S. government and brings together public and private entities to combat illegal activity involving digital assets.
IVAN is designed as a shared information channel between governments, law enforcement, and industry stakeholders around the world. Its goal is to identify emerging risks, exchange relevant data and support a coordinated response to digital crimes related to virtual assets.
BlockchainUnmasked is dedicated to blockchain analysis and cryptocurrency research. The company has assisted in over 20 federal investigations and has assisted over 16,000 victims of crypto-related crimes involving over $1.4 billion in digital assets.
Other IVAN members include Circle, a US-based stablecoin issuer, and Binance, a global digital asset exchange.
