The attackers who exploited Bitrue, a popular crypto exchange that experienced a massive hack in 2023, have potentially made a prominent fund movement. Bitrue Exploiter recently shifted stolen crypto assets to Crypto mixer Tornado Cash, data from blockchain security platform PeckshieldAlert. Blockchain security companies have joined social media to disclose the event.

BitRue Exploiter Shift Stolen Crypto potentially owns wallet in Tornado Cash
PeckshieldAlert says the attacker has exchanged nearly 756m Holo ($hot) and 150b Shiba inu ($shib) tokens to get 1,500 Ethereum ($eth). After each swap, almost $1,050 in ETH coins were traded with Tornado cash, obfuscating the trail. Current holdings of exploits that explain the amount of significant digital assets regardless of each shift.
Currently, the Exploit wallet contains up to $5,111 ETH coins and 16M$DAI, with a cumulative value of $25.5 million. The capital movement has caused considerable anxiety among members of the crypto community regarding the tracking of misused funds.
Marketwatchers and authorities look deep into the issue for a proper recovery
According to Peckshieldalert, the latest move in stolen cryptocurrency funds from wallets labeled as owned by Bitrue Exploiter is noteworthy. This reportedly suggests an attacker’s attempt to blur or settle the assets after months of maintaining them. In the meantime, market spectators and authorities continue to investigate the situation to reach the attacker and recover funds that have been illegally achieved.
