September 26th Bitfinex will now support USDT0 on Plasma

Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands – September 26, 2025 – Bitfinex, a premier digital asset trading platform, announced today that as of September 26, 2025, USDT0 deposits and withdrawals at Bitfinex are available on the plasma network.

USDT0, a cross-chain stub coin, is a bridge version of Tether’s USDT, compatible with Omnichan. With this integration, Plasma will become the latest blockchain supported by Bitfinex, allowing customers to deposit USDT0 into this network and withdraw it according to similar integrations on Optimism, Ink, and Arbitrum.

Plasma uses the Plasmabft architecture and is designed for fast, configurable Stablecoin transactions. When announcing its first integration with USDT0 earlier this year, the Plasma was described as “only for Stablecoin payments.”

USDT0, developed by Everdawn and Layerzero, is managed by the USDT0 consortium. The USDT0 Consortium leverages Layerzero’s standards to expand the Stablecoin utility across the blockchain. Bitfinex customers convert USDT balance directly to USDT0 on the platform and pull them out into supported chains such as plasma.
