Leading Global Global Cryptocurrency Exchange Binance, we announced upcoming network upgrades for Arweave (AR) and Multiversx (EGLD) and support for Hardforks.
Binance supports Arweave (AR) and Multiversx (EGLD) network upgrades and hard forks
According to an official Binance announcement, the Arweave (AR) network upgrade and Hardfork are expected to occur at UTC at an expected block height of 1,602,350 at around 5pm on February 3, 2025.
To facilitate the upgrade, AR token deposits and withdrawals will be temporarily suspended from approximately 16:00 on the same day.
Similarly, Multiversx (EGLD) network upgrades will occur at 18:30 on February 4, 2025 at Epoch 1650. Binance will stop EGLD token deposits and drawers from around 5:30pm.
Important details for Binance users:
- Unaffected Transactions: Binance has confirmed that AR and EGLD token transactions continue uninterrupted throughout the upgrade process.
- No user actions are required. Binance handles all technical requirements on your behalf, eliminating the need for manual intervention.
- Restart of Service: If the network is considered stable, deposits and withdrawals will resume. Binance noted that there was no further announcement regarding the reopening of these services.
These upgrades are part of an ongoing effort to improve performance, security, and scalability for both networks. It is recommended that users plan accordingly to avoid outages during the maintenance window.
