Binance supports Terra (LUNA) network upgrade: transactions will be temporarily suspended
According to the exchange’s announcement, all token deposits and withdrawals on the Terra network will be temporarily suspended from 15:05 on December 8, 2025.
The network upgrade is scheduled to occur at approximately 4:05 p.m., once the block height reaches 18,660,000. Binance said it will handle all technical requirements on behalf of users to ensure the process goes smoothly.
The exchange emphasized that trading of LUNA and related tokens will not be affected during the upgrade. Therefore, users can continue their trading activities without any interruption. This restriction applies only to transfers.
Once the upgrade is complete and the Terra network is confirmed to be stable, token deposits and withdrawals will resume. Binance said it will not make any further announcements regarding this process once the network is stable.
Network upgrades are important to the blockchain ecosystem, both in terms of security and performance. Binance manages technical processes on behalf of users, allowing investors to continue using the platform securely without requiring any additional steps.
