Binance has announced that it will support network upgrades and hard fork processes.
Nearby Protocol (nearby) Binance to support network upgrades and hard forks
According to a statement made by the company, deposits and withdrawals of tokens on nearby networks will be temporarily suspended at 03:00 CEST on August 18, 2025.
Network upgrades and hard forks are scheduled to begin at 04:00 CEST on the same day. During this period, only deposits and withdrawals connected to networks close to the network will be affected, but token transactions on the network will continue uninterrupted.
Binance said users don’t need to take technical action. All technical requirements are met by replacement. Once the upgrade is complete and the network is stabilized, the deposits and withdrawals will be reactivated. The company said it would not make further announcements regarding the process.
The nearby protocol is known as a blockchain network that is characterized by high scalability and low transaction costs. Network upgrades and hard forks are typically implemented for improved performance, increased security, and new features.
Binance’s movement aims to preserve the user experience and minimize potential disruption during network migration, allowing traders to continue using the close network after an upgrade without addressing the technical process.
