Binance founder Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao is taking on a new role as strategic advisor to the Pakistan Crypto Council.
The appointment was confirmed at a meeting held in Islamabad with the highest government officials.
CZ joins Pakistan Crypto Council
The session was led by Finance Minister Sen. Muhammad Auranzeb. Other attendees included heads of Pakistan’s major financial and regulatory bodies, as well as senior officials from the Securities and Exchange Commission, state banks and legal and IT ministries.
Zhao also met separately with Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister to discuss digital asset policy and the adoption of blockchain.
His involvement in Pakistan follows a recent agreement with the Kyrgyz Republic. So he advises on Web3 infrastructure and blockchain education. Kyrgyzstan has also launched the A7A5 Stablecoin, fixed to the Russian ruble, aimed at increasing demand in emerging markets.
Zhao continues to engage with multiple governments on crypto regulations, focusing on building secure frameworks and the potential of a digital finance ecosystem.
