When the last block before difficulty adjustment is mined, I wonder which of the three strategies is best for miners.
a) Minors using accurate timestamps
b) Minor using the largest acceptable future timestamp (+2h, but probably minus Epsilon and not disqualify relays through nodes with slightly different clocks)
c) Miners using minimum acceptable history timestamps
Are there any differences that arise from the benefits of tiebreaking with minor favors (even if they’re very small)
- With a slightly smaller new difficulty level for the next period, it is expected that the next mining, which is less difficult, will reduce the time for the next block. or
- From the slightly higher new difficulty of the next period, in that case (despite the more time to minify the next block) will the next block overwhelm the block that simultaneously mined the other blocks with other forks?
