Avraham “Avi” Eisenberg and his lawyers are seeking leniency in a recently filed memorandum of ruling relating to his child pornography and cryptocurrency market manipulation costs.
Eisenberg manipulated the DAO in the mango market by carrying out a series of transactions that allow for the large amount of assets to be properly employed.
After the Federal Bureau of Investigation received a search warrant for Eisenberg’s phone, they identified child pornography on the device.

The memorandum of understanding of the ruling says Eisenberg “will not break the law any further.”
Additionally, it should be noted that his cryptocurrency ruling must be changed downward to:
- “He investigated the legality of MNGO trade and found sufficient reasons (rejected by the ju judge’s ruling) to draw the conclusion that trade is not illegal.”
- “He acted in an environment where vulnerability was proactively identified and exploited practices were common and financially rewarding.”
- “He intended and did so to pay off the significant amount he had earned before he was charged.”
Furthermore, regarding his child pornography accusations, he argued that “initially considered all portrayals of sexual activity to be very sinful, and therefore made no distinction between child pornography and adult pornography.”
Eisenberg’s letter to the judge further stated that “we believed that smart contracts were generally valid legal contracts.” He further insists that he “don’t want to lose funds to users.”
The conclusion of Eisenberg’s letter hopes once released, “I hope to use my talent and knowledge for good.”
