The announcement came with news of its partnership with local payment startup Zam Maripo.
Tether has signed a memorandum with local governments to promote blockchain education and promote the adoption of crypto.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said he wants to use blockchain to create a digital economy that enhances lives.
