important notes
- The Sybarium hacker is demanding a reward of “50 ETH or nothing.”
- Shibarium Network noted that this indicates hackers are trying to harm the protocol.
- In September, the hackers began moving the siphoned funds.

Sybarium hacker negotiates bounty
According to Shibarium Network, the hacker who exploited the platform refused to accept less than 50 ETH as a reward.
Update: This reward will decrease each day until the end of the billing period.
The hacker has already replied again with “50eth or nothing,” so we can assume that this person has a very good brain and just wants to see the K9 Finance DAO and, by extension, Shibarium as a whole. https://t.co/WfFMuyiNEn

The protocol believes that malicious parties are attempting to harm the ecosystem and its associated projects. Unfortunately, many projects have been affected by this attack, including Roaring Kitty, Bad Idea Ai, and LTD.
“All of the teams who worked hard to build Shibarium in the wake of this event ultimately deserve a positive outcome here. And we wanted this to be something we could all share,” Shibarium Network shared in a recent post about X.
The team has made multiple offers to the hackers, including a “final offer” of 25 ETH. X’s MRShimamoto believed that the perpetrators of the exploit would accept it, but the latest requests from Shibarium hackers suggest otherwise.

Sibrium Hacker Offloads Loot
The attack on Sybarium Bridge dates back to September, when security firm PerkShield first discovered the suspicious activity.
Investigation revealed that the attackers obtained 4.6 million BONE using a flash loan, but Shiba Inu immediately froze the tokens.
The Sybarium team offered white hat bounties to the attackers and even promised immunity from lawsuits if they returned the funds by a stipulated deadline.
As Christopher Johnson, president of Lightspeed Crypto Services and advisor to the Bad Idea AI (BAD) project, discovered, instead of returning the funds, the hackers made off with the siphoned funds.

There have been several back-and-forths since then, and it remains unclear whether Shibarium will respond to the hackers’ latest demands.
