According to a recent chart created by Cryptocurrency Firm Galaxy Digital, 2025 is on track to be the most dangerous year for cryptocurrency owners to date.
A chart shared by research analyst Alex Thorne shows that this year is already approaching full-year totals for past years like 2023, and is even approaching 2018.

If the current rate continues, 2025 is very likely to overtake 2021, making it the most dangerous year ever. Of course, this year isn’t even halfway through.
This year there have been over 25 documented physical attacks on cryptocurrency owners.
Countries like the United Arab Emirates and India have seen significant increases in reported restraints.
As reported by U.Today, Satoshi Collaborator Martti ‘Sirius’ Malmi recently proposed the idea of creating a so-called “Bitcoin Mossad” to protect long-term holders by chasing criminals.
The most famous criminal case was the invitation case of David Barlands, co-founder of the cryptocurrency wallet company ledger. The French entrepreneur was accused of from his home with his wife in January before being rescued by authorities.
Another prominent case was accompanied by the failure of the daughter of another famous cryptocurrency entrepreneur in France.
