Banking giant Wells Fargo reportedly expects to see a massive price drop in the electric carmaker Tesla’s (TSLA) stock.

CNBC reports that in a note to clients, Wells Fargo automotive and mobility analyst Colin Langan says that Tesla’s core auto business continues to weaken, which could weigh down on the company’s stock.

While ‘order’ pricing on the website appears stable over the [last 12 months], aggressive financing promotions continue to act as price cuts. Risk to Q2 margin remains given lower leverage.”

The bank is giving Tesla an underweight rating and a $120 price target, which means that the company’s shares could drop by 61% from Monday’s closing price of $308.58.

The bank’s bearish forecast comes even as investors anticipate the company’s robotaxi launch in Austin today. The vehicles are set to provide on-demand transportation without human drivers.

Lanang says that potential tailwinds, including Tesla’s work on autonomous driving, are not enough to offset weak automotive numbers.

“Most investor attention is directed at the June 12th Austin Robotaxi deployment. We doubt the likely limited debut will be enough to overshadow the poor fundamentals.”

Tesla’s global deliveries are down 23% year over year amid steeper competition in China. TSLA has already dropped by more than 22% in 2025. In June alone, the stock slumped by nearly 10%.

ARK Invest’s Cathie Wood Unveils Massive Price Target for Tesla (TSLA) in Five Years Fueled by Robotaxi Platform https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ark-invests-cathie-wood-unveils-massive-price-target-for-tesla-tsla-in-five-years-fueled-by-robotaxi-platform/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ark-invests-cathie-wood-unveils-massive-price-target-for-tesla-tsla-in-five-years-fueled-by-robotaxi-platform/#respond Tue, 10 Jun 2025 15:51:49 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ark-invests-cathie-wood-unveils-massive-price-target-for-tesla-tsla-in-five-years-fueled-by-robotaxi-platform/

ARK Invest chief executive Cathie Wood believes the electric vehicle giant Tesla (TSLA) can hit an astronomical valuation by 2030.

In an interview on The Diary of a CEO YouTube channel, Wood says she sees TSLA surging 744% in half a decade, spurred by the firm’s robotaxi platform.

According to Wood, Tesla’s fleet of autonomous vehicles will become the centerpiece of the company’s business strategy in the coming years.

“Our prediction in five years is $2,600, and 90% of that valuation comes not from the electric vehicle, but from this robotaxi platform.

Because the electric car, if you think about it, is a one-shot sale. Sell and hope they come when they’re replacing their car.”

During the firm’s Q4 2024 earnings call, CEO Elon Musk explained how Tesla owners can generate income by renting out their full self-driving vehicles instead of just parking them when not in use.

“And I expect us to be operating unsupervised activity with our internal fleet in several cities by the end of the year. Then as probably next year when people are able to add or subtract their car from the fleet. So, kind of like Airbnb, where you can sort of add or subtract your house or your guestroom, add it to the Airbnb or don’t add it to the Airbnb inventory. If you’re traveling for a month, you can or whatever the case may be, you can let other people use your house.”

For now, Wood says that Tesla has two options to generate recurring revenue for both the company and the vehicle owner.

“You could subscribe to the network. It could be either or: subscription or à la carte if you don’t think you’re going to use it that much.”

As of Monday’s close, TSLA is worth $308 per share.

Investor Tom Lee Says Trump-Elon Feud Doesn’t Change ‘Unmatched’ Advantages of Tesla Stock (TSLA) – Here’s His Outlook https://earlybirdsinvest.com/investor-tom-lee-says-trump-elon-feud-doesnt-change-unmatched-advantages-of-tesla-stock-tsla-heres-his-outlook/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/investor-tom-lee-says-trump-elon-feud-doesnt-change-unmatched-advantages-of-tesla-stock-tsla-heres-his-outlook/#respond Mon, 09 Jun 2025 09:18:45 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/investor-tom-lee-says-trump-elon-feud-doesnt-change-unmatched-advantages-of-tesla-stock-tsla-heres-his-outlook/

Fundstrat head of research Tom Lee says he’s still bullish on Tesla (TSLA) despite the recent feud between billionaire Elon Musk and President Trump.

In a new video update, Lee shares a long-term chart for TSLA, which suggests that even after its 40% drop from all-time highs, the stock’s price is simply retouching a support level from previous years.

“Tesla investors are used to this. If you take a step back and look at Tesla from its 2010 to now, when it went from $1 to $280 today, that decline that we’re seeing recently really looks like it’s just coming back to support, so I don’t think the long-term picture really has changed all that much for Tesla.”

Lee goes on to list what he believes are several bullish fundamental developments for Tesla, adding that Fundstrat isn’t “too concerned’ about TSLA’s price dip.

“Let’s just review the competitive strength. Tesla has the lead in EV design, the lead in manufacturing electric vehicles, they have a robotaxi product coming soon – it’s going to start next week – and they have a competitive, vastly more competitive robotaxi design that costs roughly one-fourth that of the nearest competitor.

And Tesla is planning to introduce Optimus Robots…

And of course, there are drones potentially in the future. So when you look at the suite of products that Tesla has, it is pretty unmatched, and then there’s the possibility that they may merge xAI, which is their AI (artificial intelligence) unit that also owns the platform X.com, formerly known as Twitter.

And with all that, I would say that Tesla of course, still holds all of its advantages, and so we aren’t too concerned about the decline.”

Which Tesla did Trump buy? It’s the Maga Red 2024 Model S, but Tesla has more fish to fry than the 78-year-old’s Joyling in an electric sports car. Tesla’s rule at the EV arena is shaking, struggling with novel predictions, disastrous delivery and belligerent political entanglements in Musk.

I feel the future is even more uncertain. But this week, a strange turn has seen support from Donald Trump, giving stocks a much-needed lifeline. So, is it time to buy or Elon F Up?

Analysts cut Tesla’s target amid weak demand

Wall Street is cooled quickly with Tesla. Independent investment bank Evercore ISI reduced its price target to $235, citing its weaker delivery forecast for 2025. Analyst Chris McNally pegs 2023 numbers on 2023 vehicles from 1.8 million vehicles last year, slightly lowering 2024 forecasts.

Swiss Union Bank will follow the lawsuit and trim estimates of 1.7 million units as Tesla’s momentum is weakened due to weak demand in Europe and China. The Guggenheim Partners have been stacked and revised their first quarter forecasts to 358,000 units from the previous 405,000.

(S&P500)

With competition from China’s burgeoning EV makers increasing, and doubts surrounding Tesla’s new model pipeline, the brand suddenly looks much more invincible.

Which Tesla did Trump buy? Trump says Tsla Vandalism is terrorism

Sitting on the polished red Model S, Trump declared Tesla “a great company” and pledged to buy it. The show didn’t stop there. Trump launched an attack on anti-Tesla protesters, dismissing them as “domestic terrorists” who “go through hell.”

Traditionally supported by progressive US and European consumers, Tesla faces a point of crisis when its loyal consumer base continues to buy or dump brands.

Technical shows potential rebounds for Tesla stocks

Tesla stock prices are flashing mixed signals, but there is still life here. After a brutal 15% fell earlier this week, TSLA had slumped at 7.2% by Wednesday.

99 Bitcoin analysts see the formation of round bottoms, classic bullish setups, when they can break the resistance level. The key levels to watch are $230 for support, buyers intervening to stabilize the ship, with benefits ranging from $250-$255. When TSLA punches that range with volume, it could cause a cup-and-handle breakout, bringing attention to $270 as the next stop on the climb.

(TSLA)

Adding fuel to optimism is the “golden cross,” which pushes a simple 20-day moving average over 200 days. The RSI floats midway through the 54, but the room remains for upward action, creeping up into the acquired territory.

Tesla’s struggle goes beyond distribution concerns and brand controversy. 99 Bitcoin analysts are worried about the company’s long-term trajectory amid growing skepticism about autonomous driving technology. Despite Elon Musk’s claim that it launched an unsupervised Robotaxi program by June, data from Tesla’s fully automated driving community trackers show minimal improvements in withdrawal rates.

Additionally, questions have arisen about Tesla’s ability to expand its lineup. The masks teased more affordable EVs earlier this year, but no official design or production plans have been announced.

Which Tesla did Trump buy? That may not be a problem

Maybe Tesla and Elon Musk need to develop Picklel is fast. That being said, Tesla’s advancement is foggy, but it’s not without possibilities. A restructuring of investors’ trusts means stabilizing stock performance, providing more than just hype, and waiting for left-wing vitriol to die. These are easy I will fix it in theory, but it’s not really easy.

For now, the photos aren’t beautiful. Whether it’s Musk’s vision or pure luck, the ship remains an open question.

Tesla’s ability to meet market expectations and political storms of weather will be a definitive story for the rest of 2025.
